A semi reflective LCD combines some features of both transmissive and reflective types. After passing through the LCD, ambient light reaches the semi reflective layer, and the vast majority of the light is reflected back. However, some light is not reflected back and is lost. Correspondingly, if the ambient light is relatively weak, backlight can be used to provide the light source required for display. The light coming out of the backlight can illuminate the LCD display after passing through the semi reflective layer. However, like ambient light, some light cannot pass through the semi reflective layer and is lost.

Sunshine readability
By adding a dedicated full angle polarizer, ordinary TFT products can obtain a wider viewing angle.
Features: Simple operation, strong applicability, wide coverage of sizes and models
Sunlight readability
1. Use a semi reflective and semi transparent glass panel to achieve readability under sunlight.
2. Use ultra bright backlight (usually 1000nits or more) on the transmissive TFT to achieve readability under sunlight
